They are hitting on all cylinders. The host who seated us paused to show my family the kitchen making the pasta. The space was beautiful and comfortable. The view of the city was remarkable. The staff were there whenever they were needed. They were patient, knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. The food was incredible. The wine list was both extensive but expensive. The food was amazing. After we paid the manager or owner showed off the grill side of the kitchen when we expressed interest in the technique used to cook the steak. The second best steak I’ve ever had was in a steakhouse in Florence, IT. This was the best steak I’ve ever had. Family of 7, all grown, agreed that it was the best meal we’ve ever had. We’ve eaten all around the world and I’ve been to plenty of Michelin and James Beard restaurants so we know fine dining and good food.
It was expensive but I’d rather have memories like that than a million dollars in an account.
